How We Started
The owner of Obsidian Labs has been involved with peptides and research compounds since 2013. What began as deep personal interest and years of education in health and biology eventually grew into something larger.
In early 2023 we began operating more formally — first through a small clinic setting and direct in-person relationships across high-end areas of Orange County and Los Angeles County, including communities such as Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and surrounding cities. Over those years we fulfilled thousands of in-person orders and built a reputation for reliability, consistent quality, and fair pricing.
In 2026 we made the decision to expand fully online. The goal was simple: take the same standards that worked locally and make them available to researchers everywhere, without the inflated pricing that has become far too common in this space.
Who We Are
Obsidian Labs is run by a small team of nurses and doctors. We keep the operation intentionally lean. There is no large corporate overhead, no layers of middlemen, and no pressure to maximize margins at the expense of the people who actually use the compounds for research.
Our team is available to help answer research-related questions about the compounds, handling, and general research use. We do not provide medical advice, personal dosing recommendations, or treatment guidance of any kind. Everything we supply remains strictly for research use only.
How We Work
We source exclusively from laboratory partners who can consistently deliver compounds that pass independent third-party testing. If a batch fails testing, that supplier is dropped. There is no second chance on quality.
We also participate in organized group testing. Researchers and buyers (including those who purchase our wholesale kits) can pool resources to fund independent laboratory analysis. This keeps verification costs lower and allows us to pass real savings on. Wholesale kit buyers have the option to receive product with or without a COA — those who want the COA simply contribute to the group testing cost.
The result is straightforward: researchers get verified compounds at prices that are significantly more reasonable than what the market has come to accept as normal.
Retail & Wholesale
We operate as both a retail and wholesale supplier.
Retail — Individual researchers can order smaller quantities (typically 1–7 vials) at fair single-vial and quantity-tier pricing.
Wholesale — We also supply full kits at wholesale pricing that sits close to true gray-market levels. These kits can be ordered with or without COAs, and with or without our logo. Blank vials are available, or we can apply just our logo with the peptide name and size/mass (no website information). This structure lets serious researchers join group buys, maintain their own stock, or even begin building their own research-use-only operations under their own labels if they choose.
Many of our customers return regularly. Some have gone on to start their own RUO companies. We take that as the best possible feedback.
Core Principles
Fair Pricing
We started this because of personal frustration with extreme price gouging. Quality research compounds should not require premium markups. We keep overhead low and pass the difference on.
Real Verification
Independent third-party testing is non-negotiable. We use group testing pools to make proper verification affordable without cutting corners.
Reliability
Thousands of in-person orders and hundreds of online orders later, our standard remains the same: consistent quality, clear communication, and orders that arrive as expected.
Controlled Growth
We expand only as fast as we can maintain quality and service. We would rather stay smaller and reliable than grow at the expense of the researchers who trust us.
